Let's talk about kids for a moment.

 

In many ways, we take too much for granted. 

 

Take a moment to think about it.  We have many of options in our lives.  What do we want to do today?  What do we want to eat today?  What do we want to wear today?  Where do we want to go today? And on, and on, and on.

 

The majority of people we serve do not have options.  For example, the children at Destiny Orphanage.  The children do not sleep in buildings.  There are no buildings.  They sleep outside on the ground with no bedding or blankets.  They eat what’s given to them and when it’s given to them --  mostly beans or rice once every other day.  That’s right, one meal, every other day.  A child asked Hank if American children eat every day.  His response was, "Well, yes."  The child then asked Hank if God loved American children more than African children.  No options.
